Description:

It's a great way to see the ruins that are located around the Imperial city of Cusco, here are several architectural complexes, characterized by its functionality specifically dedicated to religious worship.

  • Sacsayhuman: is a walled complex on the northern outskirts of the city of Cusco, the former capital of the Inca Empire. The complex is as many other Inca constructions made of large polished dry stone walls, each boulder carefully cut to fit together tightly without mortar.
  • Tambomachay: its characteristics is presumed that this archaeological site was destined to the cult of the water, also is characterized by great paraded worked in stone that has the side with a hill. Tambomachay is the bath of the Inca, who is fed by two parallel water channels.
  • Pucapucara: was believed to be a military checkpoint used by the Incas. It has high walls and buildings believed to be watchtowers, which are what led scientists and archaeologists to believe that it was used for military purposes
  • Qenqo: this well-known Inca worship site, another one of the complexes that surround the imperial city, is a temple that dominates the whole area, located 4 km from the city of Cusco, via the route to Sacsayhuman.

Itinerary:

We pick you up from your hotel, transfer to Sacsahuaman where is located the ranch; there we will meet our horses and the horseman, who will show us how to saddle and practice how to drive the horses inside the corral before to get outdoor. We begin the riding tour going through the Inca ruins located around Cusco.
