Groucusco city toursp Tour of Cusco, where you visit the most important sites of the city. Cusco was the Inca Capital, howevwe when the conquerors arrived they changed the culture, traditions and architecture in the area, during the Cusco city tour you can see these changes, such as: Koricancha (Temple of the Sun), The Cathedral, Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Pucapucara and Tambomachay.




At 9:00 am or 2:00 pm we pick up our passengers from the hotel and go by car or buss to visit 6 archaeological sites in and around Cusco. We start off by visiting the huge “Inca Ceremonial Center of Sacsayhuaman”. This enormous structure overlooks the city of Cusco was built with huge rocks perfectly fitted.

Later on we will visit another important Inca site Known as Qenqo; this is a place with subterranean passages and carved stone channels in a zigzag pattern. Afterwards we will do a short visit to the archaeological Inca site of Tambomachay , a temple dedicated to the God of Water. After these visits, we will return to Cusco, where we will visit one of the most sacred Inca buildings “The Temple of Koricancha”, this place was the most important temple of the Inca Empire.

Finally we will visit the beautiful “Cathedral” of Cusco. This enormous Cathedral was built in the XVI. It contained nearly 400 colonial paintings including many from Cusco School, which was prominent in the 17 century.

After our city tour our local guide will drop you off at your hotel.
